OK, so I think it would be great if we had a song of the day thread. Just post a song that you really love and just can't get out of your head. If you think it's worth sharing, post it. My song of the day is Summertime by Stromae off his debut album Cheese. I think it's a great song and I've become a pretty big fan of his. Plus, he does pretty much everything on his own which is great. Though it's french and I really don't understand much of it, it's still worth a listen.. or two...

For a second during that intro I kind of expected some huge grimy dubstep was about to hit me. Thankfully that was not the case. Cool track and definitely a great idea for a thread!

Great idea for a thread. I get so many songs stuck in my head for days on end. This is one of them. Bonobo ~ El ToroWe won't even get into the Billy Ocean yet.

Pinhead Gunpowder~ Life In Wartime
I've been on a Pinhead kick today. Starting with this song this morning. Nevermind who the singer is. He was never the focus of the band.

It is. They tried to mask it at first and eventualy gave up.
Come to think about it, all of Green Day has been in that band at some point or another. Armstrong and Aaron Cometbus were the mainstays.

Glad everyone likes the song of the day idea, it's been ages since I've listened to Green Day, a good bit of info I didn't know. I really liked the Bonobo song, reminds me of drives through Coral Gables when I was a kid.
I have been listening to a few songs by Wax Tailor recently after finding them on a sountrack off of the movie Paris (a great movie about different people and how they are all connected, a good movie to check out, but that's another story). It's really nice, and easy to lsiten, at least I've become a fan of it.

I was going through my untouched cd collection and found the Lost the Way EP a friend burned for me years ago and dove in to his more recent work. I love the French. And the not-so-French...

I absolutely love how he kinda shreds his voice there at the end. I don't really know how to describe it.

That James Blake song has the greatest name.
I'm still on a Spanish kick lately. Here's Rebekah del Rio covering Roy Orbison in Mulholland Drive. Jesus, it's awesome!
