That's funny, fish, because you have just described 75% of my colleagues. Great working with students, and they seem to be the most outgoing people you could imagine when they are in that role, but completely introverted in social situations.

Yeah, I'm a social extrovert too. I think I prefer when people shut the fuck up and listen though.

Maniac, if you don't mind me asking, what do you do? I'm assuming you work for a production company. I've been curious about this for awhile. I'm a Professional Market Specialist for Canon USA Professional Engineering and Solutions Division. In English that means that I do technical marketing and direct support for professional end users (i.e. anyone who uses an imaging product to make money). I basically work a lot of trade shows, give seminars, workshops and product demos. I also communicate/meet with people who are looking to purchase products for specific needs and help them figure out what works best for them. I also maintain relationships with and provide direct support for businesses that are already using our products. In short, I'm a traveling library of user manuals for about 200 different products including cameras, lenses, video cameras, wide format printers, photo printers and projectors. No, I can't fix you fucking office copier. I really enjoy it, but I work or travel on lots of nights, weekends and holidays which makes it hard to have a normal life. I also travel more than half of the time which makes it hard if not impossible to develop any significant relationships. Luckily I'm an emotionally dysfunctional island of a person who is totally comfortable being a loner. I'm antisocial, but I love talking to people, hence I enjoy working the booth at trade shows. I'd just assume be left alone, but my favorite part of my job is giving a presentation to an audience of a 1000 or more people. I'm an anomaly. Wow! Very cool! Thanks for the detailed response. What product are you most excited about at the moment? Is there a new camera coming out that you are looking forward to showcasing?

Wow! Very cool! Thanks for the detailed response. What product are you most excited about at the moment? Is there a new camera coming out that you are looking forward to showcasing? My favorite brand new product is the XF105 video camera. Coolest video camera ever made with a 4:2:2 color space and HD-SDI, Gen Lock and TC connections for less than $4,500. Umfreakinreal man. I never know of anything before it comes and if I did know and I told you I would get fired. Most of the other new stuff that is our is very consumer oriented - a new Rebel, a small flash, etc. I rep them, but most people I deal with use higher end stuff. We do have some crazy lenses that I can't wait to play with. 8-15mm fisheye zoom f/4 L. Some super-telephoto glass a 600mm f/4 IS and a 5oomm f/4 IS. I get off on the lenses more than anything.

Waking up to a few inches of snow on the ground might be one of the most discouraging things ever at this time of year.

HA! Try to imaging how much of my time is spent rereading things. SO frustrating but even I find it comical.

I came in drunk last night and found I was banned from inforoo. Those Motherfuckers. When I play bonnaroo in the future I am going to spend part of my set time talking shit about the infomods, besides CKS.
