Through the first track on the Burial 12", man knows how to make some rainy night jams.

Anytime people tell me they like electronic music and then they say, "like Deadmau5 and David Guetta" my heart dies a little more.

Love this genre. I typically gravitate towards the down-tempo side of things, but here's some of my essentials regardless of sound.
Air - Moon Safari Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92 Boards Of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children DJ Shadow - Endtroducing... Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma Four Tet - Pause The Knife - The Knife LCD Soundsystem - Sound Of Silver Manitoba - Start Breaking My Heart Massive Attack - Blue Lines mum - Finally We Are No One Portishead - Dummy Royskopp - Melody AM

Is vinyl the only thing the Burial 12" is coming out on?

It's absurdly good. Does he have an album on the way, or is this it?

Listen to Untrue. Right. Now.
Wolf, so far the Burial is only ripped from the vinyl, no idea if a digital version is coming out.
Edit: Nevermind, somehow I misread that as you not knowing Untrue existed. Which would be a travesty.

Untrue is beautiful. I really wish he had more music. I'm listening to the collaboration he did with Four Tet, "Moth/Wolf Cub", now, and it's amazing.

I just didn't want to download the vinyl version if a digital version was coming out on Monday.

The person who ripped it on what has an O.K. set up, but it sounds decent.

Did you see Jon Hopkins open for Royksopp, nodepression? I thought he was phenomenal. He even had a dubstep track that had really hard drops, but the way it fit into the context of what he was doing really blew me away. It didn't come off as him trying to get the crowd off, it was more like the natural progression of the song was to take it to a crazy place for a minute. I listened to his first record afterwards and really enjoyed that as well. I think I'm a fan.

I saw the last 10 minutes of his set, thought it was solid. But it sounds like I needed to be there the entire time to really get into it.
What'd you think of Royksopp?

I thought they sounded amazing but the set didn't flow right to me. There were runs of three or four songs that were funked out dance parties, and then they'd throw something weird in there and kill the momentum for me.
Most of the songs with the singer didn't really do it for me, besides "What Else Is There?". I guess that song is just leagues better than the other ones she sang on, but she did a good job filling Karin's shoes.
What did you think?

Same, whenever they had her come out it killed the momentum, it was frustrating.

Deadmau5 is the best. No other discussion is needed.

Deadmau5 is the best. No other discussion is needed. You should have delayed that post for a day.
