Let's discuss.
I've really been enjoying this aesthetic as of late, and there seems to be a lot of great bands in this vein around right now that we can talk about, in addition to all of the classics that need mention.

I heard this in the car today on my brother's satellite radio and remembered how awesome it was.

You've listened to the Sic Alps record from this year, right? Really love it man. This is one area where I'd really like to know more about. I just acquired a bunch of stuff, pieced together from various lists and what-not. Thanks for reminding me about Reigning Sound, I never listened to Time Bomb High School. Doing that now. I'll post the band that kind of sparked my interest a while back.

Here we are! I'll cover punk, for now (my first true love). I'm a huge fan of all the 70s-90s California bastards. Face to Face, who actually have a new album due out this year: The Descendents; legends, been around for fucking ever, constant line-up changes, but always golden: Minor Threat, punk? hardcore? who cares. Black Flag, enough said. Fugazi, a bunch of hard-working, all-around nice dudes who also happen to churn out incredibly multifaceted music. Jawbreaker; one of my personal favorite punk bands of all time. Blake Schwarzenbach has a heart of gold, poor guy. Screeching Weasel, yeah yeah, Ben Weasel punched a chick in the face at SXSW (subsequently killing my chance of seeing them in Atlanta)... still though ....I'll come back to this.

GaragePunk I'm sorry about this. They are my favorite "punk" band ever. I give you The Real Kids. I'll have a ton more too. Thanks for posting that RS video, Sprout. Heres another. I'll be back to this later.

Too Much Guitar is a little more garagey. Another great song.

Too Much Guitar is a little more garagey. Another great song. The best record of 2004 that no one ever heard. Greg Cartwright is a quacking god.

I completed my Thee Oh Sees and Fresh and Onlys discographies in the little what neutral leech yesterday. I'm pretty excited to go through the rest of them. Also I'm downloading the Count Five album now. That was awesome.
